About the Course
With today’s healthcare landscape changing at a rapid pace, a more efficient and adaptive method of research is crucial to ensuring the best possible patient care. By using an innovative adaptive research design to evaluate new treatment options at the same time, the patients of UPMC will receive the treatment most likely to be effective for them. This is especially important during the current pandemic when determining and continuously updating the optimal treatment plans is a commonplace event. Attend “What Does a Learning Health System Really Mean?” to learn more about this new innovative, adaptive style of research, the benefits over traditional methods of research, and examples how UPMC has used this method to become pioneers of new treatment modalities to provide the life changing medicine they have become known for.
